Present Board Members:  Chairperson, Rich Norkun; Daniel Roy; Deb McKinney; Tim Adams.  Also Present Director, Ruth Plummer; Program Coordinator, Shawn Mullen.  
 
Call To Order:  Rich Norkun called to order the March 1, 2011 Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.   
 
Approval of the minutes of the December 7, 2010 regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board:  Deb Mckinney motioned to approve the minutes of the December 7, 2010 Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.  Tim Adams seconded the motion.  All approved (4-0).    
 
Audience of Citizens :  American Political Systems class from East Hampton High School.   
 
Communications 
- Agenda Report regarding Cranbury Bog Lease Agreement 
 
 
The Agenda Report was discussed.  Everyone has a copy.   
- Agenda Report regarding Sears Park User Fees

Director’s Report:  Ruth Plummer addressed her Director’s Report in Unfinished Business.  Shawn Mullen gave a report on the status of Parks and Recreation Programs.  Everyone has a copy.   
 
Unfinished Business 
- Governor William O’Neil Amphitheater update 
 
 
The approval process has begun on this.   
We haven’t heard anything back from Ken Barber at this point.  This will stay on the agenda.   
Ruth Plummer presented a copy of the Parks and Recreation Departments budget.  Everyone has a copy.   
- Wesleyan Boats in Sears Park 
 
 
The Weslyan sailing team will be using Sears Park under the new special use fee guidelines as soon as possible.   
- AirLine Trail STEAP Grant 
 
 
We have received the RFPs and will create a short list and notify the candidates.   
 
New Business. 
Ruth Plummer discussed the issues that we have had this winter with Sears Park.  Ruth recommends that when we have a new Town Manager in place we take the issues to them and the Town Council.

Other Concerns 
There is an indoor sports complex scheduled to be built on Rt. 66 in East Hampton.  Brian Cutler is seeking a letter of support from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.  The Advisory Board will provide the letter.
